Eating Disorders and Related Conditions

Some people may struggle with coexistent conditions, such as eating disorders and other mental health diagnoses. These can be alongside their trauma and/or their problematic depression (often called comorbidities).

These comorbidities may be secondary to their core condition, of PTSD and/or TRD.

At Evolution, we have a team of highly trained subspecialty therapists that are able to effectively treat these complex comorbidities, through our medicine enhanced therapy programs.

We are able to treat the comorbid conditions as listed below, provided you are assessed by our team, as also suffering with PTSD or TRD, during our assessment phase.

It is however a requirement that you don’t currently have an exclusion criteria to access Medicine Enhanced Therapy:

eg less than 43kg, medically unstable on examination or investigation, significant current drug or alcohol usage, current suicidal or self harm instability, history of mania or psychosis, pregnancy

Common comorbid conditions we are able to treat if the inclusion criteria for PTSD and TRD are met, and if exclusion criteria are not met, includes :

  • Eating disorders
  • OCD
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorders and other anxiety disorders
  • Substance Dependence
  • Relationship Problems
  • Complex PTSD
  • Anger Management
